Located in the town of Matsuo, Matsumoto Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto god of education and learning, as well as Hachiman, the deity of war. This shrine complex includes several smaller shrines within its grounds, including a shrine for the god of health and a shrine dedicated to the goddess Ohoi. The shrine's architecture reflects various historical periods, with elements from the Heian period visible in the main hall.
