Located in the city of Omi-ya, Shiga Prefecture, Horyu-ji-jinja is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperor Jinmu and Prince Shotoku, revered as kami for their wisdom and governance. Founded during the Asuka period (approximately 592 CE), it is one of Japan's oldest temples and shrines.
