THE POCKET HOTEL Kyoto Shijo-Karasuma offers a compact, secure, and simple style of stay in the heart of Kyoto's largest downtown district, Shijo. Every room is a private, lockable space, with a women-only floor available for solo female travelers. The hotel features a whole-building water purification system, self check-in/check-out kiosks, and easy access to Kyoto's major sightseeing spots. Please note: the hotel is currently suspended from operation for a building inspection starting after check-out on April 1, 2025 (Tuesday), and the reopening date is undecided. New reservations are not being accepted during this period, and guests with existing bookings after that date will be contacted about alternative hotel arrangements.

Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line Shijo Station is 6 minutes on foot from Exit 1 (elevator access via Exit 19, 5 minutes). Hankyu Kyoto Line Kawaramachi Station is 2 minutes on foot from Exit 14. After 22:30, use Exit 18 when coming from Karasuma Station or Exit 9 when coming from Kawaramachi Station.
