愛宛社 shrine, located in the city of Nagahama in Shiga Prefecture, is a revered Shinto site that honors Hachiman Ōkami, the kami of war and patron deity of the Japanese military. The shrine's name is derived from the mythological figure who was said to have healed Emperor Ojin and granted him victory over his enemies.
