Dayotsu Shrine, located in Akita Prefecture, is dedicated to the deity of agriculture and fertility, Tsukiyomi-no-kami, as well as other kami such as Inari Okami and Hachiman Okami. The shrine's architecture reflects its origins during the Heian period, with a distinctive red gate (torii) and a large torii in front of the main hall. Visitors can experience the tranquility of the shrine's gardens and enjoy local specialties such as Akita Ginzan-gashi (silver-dipped chestnuts).
