Inari Okappi Shrine in Aomori is one of the most famous Shinto shrines dedicated to Inari, the god of rice, fertility, and prosperity. Built on the site where a local woman prayed for better luck, the shrine has been rebuilt multiple times due to fires and floods. The current structure dates back to 1708 and features a unique architectural style with vermilion torii gates and distinctive shōen gardens.
