Located in Akita Prefecture, Haidatsu Gold Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto kami of prosperity and good fortune, known as Takamagahara no Kami or Takamaga-gami. The shrine's name, which translates to 'gold board shrine', refers to the gold-colored boards used to cover its main hall during the Heian period. This unique architectural feature has been retained to this day, giving the shrine a striking and distinctive appearance.
