Located in the heart of Sapporo, Kasumigaseki Castle Park's adjacent Nanseidani Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the cedar tree god, Nanseidai. This shrine, dedicated to the cedar tree deity in Hokkaido, has a long history dating back to the early 20th century when it was relocated from its original location on the island of Shikotsu.
