Imamigashi Shrine, located in the heart of Akita City, is dedicated to the worship of the kami Inari Okami and the god of agriculture, Hachiman Okami. The shrine's architecture reflects its Heian-era origins, with a rectangular shrine hall and a curved roof covered in vermilion tiles. Visitors can walk through the beautiful gardens and admire the traditional Japanese-style lanterns. Imamigashi Shrine is also known for its autumn leaf viewing (koyo) festival, which takes place on November 11th.
