Located in the city of Ishinomaki, Godai-jinja Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to the kami Mutsu no Okami and Tsukuyomi no Kami. The shrine's main hall was built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE) and features a unique design that reflects its connection to the nearby Matsushima Islands.
