鎚之神神社

located in the scenic town of Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, is Ezu-no-kami Shrine, dedicated to the sea god Ezu-no-kami. A Shinto shrine built on a hill overlooking the Biwa Lake, it is believed to have been constructed during the Nara period (710-794 CE). The shrine's architectural style reflects its historical significance as a sacred site for navigation and fishing. Visitors can still see ancient wooden pillars and stones used in the construction of the shrine.
