Kasuga Shrine in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan is dedicated to the Shinto deity Kasuga Okami, but the Enshriners are actually Kami of rich soil and water. The Enshrined Deities of Tonokawa Shrine include Tonogou Tsukuyomi and Otsuka no Okami. Tonokawa Shrine in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture is dedicated to three Shinto deities: Furihashi no Okami and the two twin Kami, Nigijinro and Wakasaginro. The shrines were built between 1630 and 1657 by daimyo Tokugawa Ietsugu in order to pray for the death of his enemies at sea. Tonokawa Shrine was built to pray for a good harvest and prosperity.
