Built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE), this shrine showcases traditional Japanese architecture with its distinctive tiled roof and vermilion lanterns. The shrine is particularly famous for its association with Japanese folklore and myths surrounding a legendary ronin, Iwai Hanshirou.
