Arashiyama Eighteen Hachiman Shrine, located in the town of Koyama, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Hachiman, the god of war and patron deity of warriors. In Tottori Prefecture, it is believed that the shrine was built to commemorate the bravery of Taira no Tametomo, who died at this site during the Genpei War in 1181.
