Kanazawa-kan, the headquarters of the Otachi Clan in the Edo period, was moved to its current location in Nagaoka City in 1868 and enshrined here as Kanazawa-no-miya-ginsho. The shrine is dedicated to Hachiman, the god of war and patron deity of the clan.
