Akita

Love Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Akita Prefecture, dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami, the Sun Goddess, and Susanoo-no-Mikoto, the Storm God. The shrine was rebuilt after the 1933 earthquake, but its history dates back to the Heian period (794-1185). The current structure is a representative example of traditional Japanese architecture, featuring a rectangular torii gate and a large honden.
