日吉神社

Located in the town of Hakusan, on the northern coast of Ishikawa Prefecture, Dayutsuji Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu. The shrine is one of Japan's oldest and most sacred sites, believed to be founded over 1,000 years ago by Emperor Kōmei, who is said to have built it as an imitation of the Imperial Palace in Kyoto.
