The Ōgata Shrine, located in Akita Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of prosperity and good fortune, Takamagahara. The shrine is situated on the coast of Akita Bay, overlooking the sea that Takamaga, the legendary prince, is said to have sailed across before finding his father's grave. 歴史

The shrine was built in 1637 by Hachiman Shrine priest, and its main hall was destroyed during World War II, however, it was rebuilt after the war.
