Located in the city of Nagahama, Shiga Prefecture, Eight Humps Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god Susanoo-no-Mikoto, known as the 'god of storms'. The shrine is famous for its 8-meter-tall stone statue of Susanoo-no-Mikoto with eight humps on his head. According to legend, Susanoo-no-Mikoto created the humps using his magical powers.

文化的背景

Eight Humps Shrine is known for its unique architecture and mythological connections. The shrine also hosts an annual festival in May to celebrate Susanoo-no-Mikoto's power.
