Meso-sha Izumigami Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Okayama,Okayama Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to the god of disease and illness, Izumigami. It is known for its unique architecture and historical significance as one of the oldest shrines in Japan. According to legend, the shrine was founded by Emperor Tenji and his wife, Empress Gemmei, who prayed for their son's recovery from a deadly illness.
