新屋三社神宮

Shizuoka

新屋神宮 is a Shinto shrine located in Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Dedicated to the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, it was originally built as a mausoleum for Emperor Saimei, believed to be the son of Empress Jingū. The shrine has undergone several renovations throughout its history, with notable restorations during the Edo period.
