三栖神社

Shiga

Located in the scenic town of Katsuyama, San-ryu-jinsha Shrine is dedicated to the god of water and fertility, Ryujin, as well as the god of agriculture, Susanoo. The shrine's architecture reflects its historical significance as a major pilgrimage site for travelers and farmers. Built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE), the shrine's main hall features a distinctive tiled roof and is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens.
