文化的背景

As a sea god, Futsu Shrine is deeply connected to the myth of the 'Tsurugi no kami', who was said to have been worshiped by the legendary Japanese warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune. The shrine also hosts the annual 'Tsukimatsuri' festival in honor of Kasuga-tsurugi no kami.
