賀茂神社

Miyagi

Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu, formerly known as Gamo Shrine, is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. Dedicated to the kami of rice, fertility, and prosperity, it has been an important center for agricultural worship since its founding. The shrine's architecture is characterized by the unique 'tsukubai' water basin that provides visitors with a refreshing drink after circling the torii gate.
