Tatsuoka Inari Shrine, also known as Tatsunohara Inari Shrine, is a Shinto shrine located in the town of Agematsu, Nagano Prefecture, but is more commonly associated with Niigata Prefecture as "古峯神社". The shrine is dedicated to the kami of rice, prosperity, and good fortune. According to legend, the shrine was built to honor the gods that protect the mountain pass known as Tatsunohara, which connects the provinces of Echigo and Kozasa. Visitors can participate in the shrine's traditional activities such as sake tasting and tea ceremonies.
