Located in the town of Katsuyama, Fukui Prefecture, Funazu Shrine is dedicated to Inari Okami, the Shinto god of rice and fertility. The shrine's architecture is characterized by a vermilion torii gate, typical of the Kanzeon-ryu style prevalent during the Edo period. The shrine's grounds also feature several large stones believed to have been sacred sites in ancient times. Visitors can explore the surrounding forest, which is said to be inhabited by various yokai, or supernatural creatures from Japanese folklore.
