文化的背景

In Japanese mythology, the pole star is associated with the god of war, Hachiman. The shrine also celebrates the annual Toyotome Matsuri festival in April, which honors the celestial spirits and the founding of the shrine.

歴史

The shrine was founded during the Muromachi period (1336-1573) and is believed to have been established as a way to honor the celestial kami who are said to watch over the city of Osaka.
