Akibayashi Shrine is closely associated with the mythology of autumn leaves. According to local legend, Akibiyama-no-kami was said to have been weeping for his lost love under a tree with exceptional beauty, which became known as Akiba-yama. The shrine's annual festival celebrates this tale, featuring traditional dances and performances.

歴史

The shrine was founded in 1604 by Tokugawa Ieyasu's loyal retainer, Matsudaira Hirotada.
