千手堂

千手堂 Shrine is a Shinto temple located in Yamagata Prefecture, dedicated to the worship of the Buddhist deity Fudo Myojo, but also revered as a Shinto kami at this shrine. The name 'cherry blossom gate' roughly translates to its current English title, Thousand Hands Hall. Visitors can admire its beautiful architecture and stroll through its peaceful gardens. According to local legend, the shrine was originally built in 1616 during the Edo period by the local lord, who believed that Fudo Myojo could protect him from harm.
