Spring Day Shrine in Ehime Prefecture is a small Shinto shrine dedicated to the sun goddess, Amaterasu Ōmikami's earthly counterpart, Hikoboshi no Okami. It is believed that the shrine's main hall was built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE). The shrine is surrounded by beautiful cherry blossom trees and is a popular spot for hanami (cherry blossom viewing) in spring. Locals also visit the shrine to pray for good luck, health, and prosperity.
