大頭龍神社

To avoid getting lost, follow the trail signs from the shrine entrance towards the eastern slope of Mount Daitei, and turn right at the pine tree landmark.

As a mountain shrine, Daiteiryusansho is associated with Ryujin, the dragon god believed to inhabit Shizuoka's mountains. The shrine also hosts an annual autumn leaf festival (koyo) in honor of the changing foliage.

Founded in the Muromachi period (14th century), the shrine has undergone several renovations over the centuries.
