鹿島神社

Ibaraki

Located in the town of Hitachi, Ibaraki Prefecture, 鹿島神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami of the sea and fertility. The shrine's main hall is built in the traditional 'gotei-zukuri' style, characteristic of Heian-period architecture. A beautiful garden surrounds the shrine, featuring a large stone torii gate and several traditional Japanese gardens.
