文化的背景

Tsukuyomi-no-kami is often depicted as a handsome young man riding a horse under a full moon. The shrine's architecture reflects this, with a distinctive yellow gate and a beautiful garden featuring many lanterns and statues of the god. The shrine also hosts an annual festival in July to celebrate the summer solstice.

歴史

The shrine was founded in 1888 by a group of local samurai, who were inspired by the Meiji period's emphasis on Shinto revitalization. During World War II, the shrine suffered damage from Allied bombing raids.
