春日神社

Enshrines the four kami of the Kasuga faith - Takemikazuchi-no-mikoto, Futsunushi-no-mikoto, Amenokoyane-no-mikoto, and Himegami - who have been revered as protectors of Nara and the Fujiwara clan since the 8th century. Worshippers come to seek blessings for family prosperity, protection from misfortune, and success in endeavors, particularly drawn by the shrine's reputation for answering prayers related to career advancement and educational achievement. The sacred deer that roam freely throughout the grounds are considered divine messengers of the kami, adding to the shrine's mystical atmosphere where the boundary between the natural and spiritual worlds feels particularly thin.
