Located in the heart of Aomori Prefecture, Eight-horned Shrine (Hachimantai-mura no Hachimangu) is one of Japan's oldest shrines dedicated to the storm god Hachiman. Its origins date back to the 7th century, during the Asuka period, and its current structure was rebuilt in 1883 after being destroyed by a fire. The shrine is famous for its unique architecture, which features a distinctive eight-horned roof resembling the mythological horn of the storm god.
