Located in the city of Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, Sakakibara Shrine is dedicated to Okuninushi no Kami, the god of plums and fertility. This Shinto shrine has a long history dating back to the Edo period (1603-1868). Its unique architectural style features a five-story pagoda and traditional torii gates. The shrine is also famous for its historic sake brewery, which has been producing high-quality sake since 1882.
