浦町神明宮

Aomori

Purtsu-machi Kami-miya Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the heart of Aomori City, honoring the kami of the Purtsu River and its surrounding mountains. The shrine is dedicated to the protection of the city and its people, as well as the prosperity of agriculture and fishing industries. The current shrine building dates back to 1875, but the area has been a sacred site for centuries.

文化的背景

歴史

The shrine was re-established in 1869 after being destroyed during the Boshin War.
