Located in the scenic town of Tsukuda, Hitachi Oji, in Ibaraki Prefecture, Daigo-sixtaijinja Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the six celestial gods (Daigōkū) and is one of the most famous and largest shrines on the island of Honshu. The shrine complex was established during the Heian period (794-1185 CE), but its current form dates back to the Edo period (1603-1867 CE).
