参拝のヒント

To make the most of your visit, try some local specialties such as Kurokawa's famous 'tobishigou' (a type of rice bowl dish) at one of the many restaurants in the area.

文化的背景

Amenozukami is also associated with the patronage of merchants and traders. During the Niigata Cherry Blossom Festival, which takes place in late March, visitors can enjoy traditional dances performed by local schoolgirls dressed as Ainu dancers, a nod to Amenozukami's role as a protector of local fishermen.

歴史

The shrine was originally built in the Edo period, but its current structure dates back to the Meiji period.
