竜岡神社

Located in Hatsu City, Chiba Prefecture, Ryogoku Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of thunder and lightning, Ryūgūjin. The shrine's main hall was built during the Muromachi period (14th century), with subsequent renovations taking place during the Edo period (17th-19th centuries). 文化的背景

Ryogoku Shrine is famous for its traditional 'haya-bune' ( floating lanterns) displayed on the river during the Obon Festival, as well as its unique 'kakushi ni-honto' bell, which has a distinctive red exterior and is said to ward off evil spirits.
