鶴崎神社

Tsurugaoka Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Tsu, Shima District, Suruga Province (now part of Shizuoka Prefecture), Japan. Dedicated to the deity Inari Okami, it is famous for its beautiful architecture and ornate vermilion torii gate, which attracts visitors from all over the world. The shrine's history dates back to 746 AD when Emperor Shomu dedicated the area to Inari Okami.

Tsu is said to be the birthplace of Inari Okami, and the shrine is known for its unique 'tsukubai' stone basin, which visitors must rinse their hands in before entering the main hall. The shrine is also famous for its 'omiyage', traditional gifts brought by pilgrims as a token of appreciation.
