Ariake no Kanakumaru Shrine, dedicated to the god of love and fertility, Amaterasu Okami, is located in Nagasaki City's Ariake district. The shrine was originally built in the Heian period (794-1185 CE) but has undergone several renovations throughout its history. It is one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Nagasaki Prefecture.
