市山八幡宮

Shimane

City Mountain Eight Horseshoe Shrine, located in the city of Matsue in Shimane Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of prosperity and good fortune. The shrine is famous for its beautiful vermilion torii gate and traditional architecture. It is believed that the shrine's main deity, Atsuta Okami, was introduced by the legendary Japanese warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune during his campaigns in the 12th century.
