Totsu-ji Temple, located in the heart of Kanazawa, is dedicated to the deity of the God of Mercy, Kannon. The temple complex features a five-story pagoda and numerous gardens. It was built in 1483 during the Muromachi period as a retirement villa for the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimasa.
