Ibaraki

Located in the scenic town of Hitachi, Ibaraki Prefecture's White Mountain Shrine (Shiitake no Jinja) is a lesser-known Shinto site dedicated to the god of rice and fertility, Mikotozukaya Okami, as well as the mountain deity that gave its name to the shrine, Ryūjin. Built in 1821 during the Edo period, this shrine is nestled at the foot of a hill covered in pine trees. Its tranquil atmosphere makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers and those seeking spiritual solace.
