Dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu, Daito-gu (Bear Mountain Shrine) is a Shinto shrine in Fukuoka, Japan's Kyushu island. It is known for its majestic torii gate and scenic coastal views. The shrine is famous for being one of only three that survived the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami in 2011.
