参拝のヒント

To make the most of your visit, try visiting during the autumn foliage season (mid-November to mid-December), when the shrine's beautiful maple trees turn brilliant shades of orange and red.

文化的背景

Akibayashi Shrine is associated with the mythology of the 'Kagami-oki-no-Mi-no-Kami,' or 'God of Reflecting Mirrors,' a deity said to protect people from evil spirits. The shrine also celebrates an autumn festival, called the 'Matsuri,' which honors the changing colors of the leaves.

歴史

The shrine was originally built during the Edo period (1603-1868) as a local Shinto shrine, with significant renovations made in the late 19th century.
