文化的背景

As a Shinto shrine, Spring Day Shrine is closely tied to local folklore and mythology. The shrine's name refers to the Japanese proverb 'haru ni tsuki no hi o', which roughly translates to 'the day of the full moon in spring'. During cherry blossom season, locals hold a traditional festival called 'Hanami' to celebrate the beauty of nature.

歴史

The shrine was rebuilt after being destroyed during the Genpei War (1180-1185).
