Located in the town of Ryūō, in the prefecture of Shiga, Floodplain Shrine is a small but historic Shinto shrine dedicated to Kamo-yama Kami, a mountain spirit said to reside in the nearby mountains. The shrine's main hall was built during the Kamakura period, with subsequent renovations and additions made during the Edo period.
