Kokuryu Shrine, located in Kakuda, Kumamoto Prefecture, is dedicated to the storm god Susanoo-no-Mikoto and the wind god Hifumi-no-Kami. The shrine is famous for its beautiful autumn foliage and traditional Japanese architecture. The current main hall was built in 1895, but a wooden structure existed before it.
